Réserve de la Comtesse Pichon Longueville - 3 bottles

The history of this winery (87 hectares) founded in 1689 is particularly fascinating and the creative period of ‘winemaking master’ Joseph de Pichon-Longueville back in the 18th century can still be sensed in the beauty and elegance of his wines produced by his successors to this day. This is particularly true of the talented Virginie, Comtesse de Lalande, the inspiration for the passion that this splendid vineyard has always provoked amongst the womenfolk. The second wine produced by Pichon, Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, was created as a homage to Virginie and christened as ‘Réserve de la Comtesse’. Depending on the year, this wine variety accounts for 20 to 50 %of the château’s output. It originates from the same terroir and enjoys the expertise and reputation of its great ancestor.
