Sancerre Blanc 2013 - 3 bottles

The Vacheron family have only been operating their vineyard in the Loire Valley (vine area approx. 40ha) for two generations in accordance with strict bio-dynamic standards and even in the cellar it is a sound and precise operation. The Sauvignon-Blanc grapes grow on a flint-rich ( = Silex) ground, enforced with clay, chalk and pre-historic oceanic fossils. This provides an elegant terroir wine with astounding minerality, fresh acidity and smoky notes.

The grape harvest is carried out by hand and at vinification the sustainability and absolute quality are strictly considered. It is no wonder that the Vacheron family wines belong to the peak of this appellation. This Sancerre exhibits an elegant fruit and an aromatic depth. You can literally feel the fragrance of the flint in the ground in your mouth. A long, fresh finish completes the potatory pleasure of this wine. In short, it is a wine that outshines numerous Burgundy wines.
