Château Faugères Blanc 2014 - 6 bottles

When you hear "Bordeaux", you would normally think of a red wine. However, in this well-known cultivation area, white rarities are also being cultivated. One such rarity is the dry white wine from Château Faugères in Saint-Emilion! Only approx. 2,000 bottles of this aromatic, fruity white wine with subtle vanilla notes are produced every year. With this wine from St.Emilion, we are dealing with a Cuvée made up of a third Sauvignon blanc, a third Sauvignon gris and a third Sémillon.

One half of the wine is developed in a steel tank, the other half in new barrels. The wine has a moderate alcohol content of 12.5% and exhibits a pleasant acidity, and is of astounding length. - A real rarity. - Château Faugères is owned by the Swiss Silvio Denz. A few years ago, under Faugères and according to plans by internationally renowned Ticino architect, Mario Botta, a new wine cellar was created. It is considered to be one of the most spectacular wine cellars of the region and brings in many tourists.

  • Origin: Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux, France
