Originally specialized in the manufacture of premier Port wine, Ramos Pinto also began several years ago with the production of high quality red and white wines. For the generation of the Duas Quintas Ramos Pinto has two wineries that offer unique production conditions: The 80-acre Quinta da Ervamoira which is close to the Spanish border at the Rio Côa and has schistose soil, as well as the higher lying 50 ha Quinta dos Bons Ares with granitic soil, cool climate and strong air currents.
