A Quo 2012, IGT Montepeloso - 3 bottles

In 1999, Fabio Chiarelotto bought the MONTEPELOSO vineyard and over the years increased its size to a total of 14ha of cultivated vineyard. In November of 2007, the Swiss company, Silvio Denz, became an active partner at MONTEPELOSO. The term "A Quo" defines an origin. "A Quo" is the base wine. Therefore use "A Quo" as a first step into the Montepeloso wines. It is the wine from which one can get to know the other wines. Fabio Chiarelotto has created an early accessible and despite that complex wine. Its bouquet reminds you of juicy, overripe red cherries, crushed rocks, rose petals and liquorice. On the palate it exhibits a lot of finesse with punchy, fizzy red fruits. Additionally in the background you will taste a subtle note of French oak. In brief: It is a fascinating experience to delve into the world of MONTEPELOSO wines. The Val di Cornia where this vineyard is, border with Maremma in southern Tuscany. Very famous wines come from the area, such as Solaia, Sassicaia and Masseto.
